The Ryu-kyu Koden Room serves as the living room of Ryusai-kan. A deep crimson gazebo welcomes visitors.

Given the historical context of the Ryukyu Kingdom’s tributary system, we furnished the dining room with Chinese furniture to give it a distinctly Chinese feel.
However, since the Ryukyu Kingdom wasn’t limited to China—it had a thriving trade network and was quite international—it likely hosted guests from various countries.
I found myself wondering what it would have been like if such an event had been held in a place like this gazebo.
"Ryukyu Palace"—an abbreviation of "Ryukyu no Miyako" (Ryukyu Palace), a term symbolizing the prestige and traditions of the Ryukyu Dynasty—features the "Red Palace," a deep crimson pavilion with a canopy, which lends the site an even more noble atmosphere.
We chose the name “Ryūkyū Kōden” to evoke the impression of a room in a magnificent palace.
